From The Author

​

I have spent over 30 years navigating the complexities of international news, leadership and strategic communications. As a senior media executive, I rose from BBC trainee to Head of Journalism at the BBC World Service, in a career spanning both on-air and off-air roles. In an industry primarily about communication, I have seen the disproportionate impact of interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills (and the lack of them) on the careers of those around me.
